The 1:8 model Lamborghini Aventador that you see above has been lovingly recreated in carbon fiber, diamonds and precious metals. The carbon fibers are wrapped in a 1/1000mm thread of solid gold, it has diamonds inserted into its seat, headlights and steering wheel and the rims are solid gold and platinum. The asking price of $4.5 million is roughly 12 times what a real, working model would set you back.
And Robert Gülpen’s model doesn’t even drive – unlike the vastly superior tiny Ferrari that you can see after the jump.
