Sometimes you just need to redecorate your home. Instead of heading
down to your local IKEA and picking up furniture being held together
with toothpicks, check out some of this furniture and get your geek on.
Binary Doormat
It either says "welcome" or "no solicitors"
We start at the front door and while I’m a bit rusty on my binary,
I’m assuming that this says “Welcome” or something to that effect.
Blank CD Chair
It's either going to massage your back or rip it to shreds. Good luck!
While I’m not going to comment on how comfortable I believe this
chair to be, you have to at least admire the resourcefulness of it. I’m
sure I’m not the only one with spindle upon spindle of blank CD’s and
DVD’s that I don’t use anymore thanks to the rise in USB flash drives.
Bracket Shelving
Remember your rules for which item you have to count first.
Nice to see somebody incorporating brackets and parentheses into
their wall shelving. Not only does this let you separate items on the
shelf, it lets everybody that looks at it know that you’re a geek.
Geek Clock
The left hand is on the g, the right hand is on the square root of 4
Not everybody wears a watch or has their cell phone on them to know
what time it is. Hopefully even with this clock, they’ll be able to
tell what time it is. Some are obvious, others not so much.
Frozen in Carbonite Desk
Leia unfreezing him is not going to help your work-flow
Welcome to my office, where I can have a constant reminder of one of
the great geek movies of all time. Ok, so I don’t actually have this in
my office, but how cool would it be (and what a great talking piece) to
have this in you office?
iPhone Coffee Table
Sorry, you can only use one coaster at a time.
I’ll be the first to say that I’m not a fan of the iPhone (Android
all the way!), but I do like this coffee table. To add to the geek
cred, the app icons can be removed and used as coasters.
Keyboard Chair
It'd be even better if you could hook them all up to your computer
Much like the CD chair, I can’t really speak to how comfortable this
chaise is going to be, but don’t you kinda want to find out?
LED Coffee Table
You absolutely do not want to spill your drink on this table
I like to think that this table would make finding your drink in a
dark room really easy. Being able to customize different colored LEDs
for different people would make it really easy to make sure you know
which drink is yours at all time.
Macromedia Coasters
Dibs on Dreamweaver!
I think the biggest problem with these is fighting for your favorite
program, or at least making sure you don’t get stuck with one you hate.
NES Coffee Table
up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, START
This brings back so many great childhood memories. I am endlessly
impressed with the level of detail in this table. I do wonder if you
have to blow into anything you place in the drawers to make them work
from time to time though.
Number Pad Chair
There do appear to be some numbers missing though
This one looks to have enough padding to actually be comfortable.
Numeric Keypad Chairs
The minus seat means you're getting fired
Two number pads in a row, I know, but this one is far more complete, and is great for that geeky office.
Pac-Man Coffee Table
Giant Pac-Man doesn't care of the ghosts are blue
For anybody that ever threw a quarter in a machine we give you the
Pac-Man coffee table. This is a must have for any geeks gaming room.
Periodic Table Coffee Table
You'll win at least one category of Jeopardy thanks to this table
Walking the line between geek and nerd, but a great tool for learning
if it really comes down to it. Use this enough and you should learn
the periodic table just through repeated exposure.
PS3 Coffee Table
Hate to point this out, but the controllers are backwards
Much like the Pac-Man coffee table, this is a great table to keep in
your gaming room to let everybody know that you support Sony of
Microsoft.
Social Media Pillows
Wait, MySpace is still around?
More a decoration than an actual piece of furniture, but then you do
need to accessorize rooms that you can’t have full on geek furniture in.
Show off all your social media and bookmarking preferences with these
pillows.
Space Invaders Cutting Board
No protection for him from your knife
Bring your geek into the kitchen. Not only is it nice and
functional, but it also increases your geek standing. Also, the
wife/girlfriend can’t complain too much if you’re in the kitchen doing
the cooking.
Space Invaders Sofa
I think the arms are plastic - perfect setting a drink on
If you can’t cook on him, sit on him. Hopefully this is available in
more colors – have to make sure it matches the rest of your house after
all.
Super Mario Bros. Wall Shelves
There are no 1UPS in these boxes
How this isn’t standard issue in any child’s room is beyond me.
Hell, don’t get it for your kids, get it for yourself. Relive your
childhood.
Wii-Mote Cabinet
Wii would like to use your storage
A great place to store all your gaming equipment.
